1. (Che Guevara) (1852↑, 1115↓)
Ernesto "Che Guevara" was an upper class Argentine doctor turned Cuban revolutionary who took aim against imperialism in all of its forms during the middle of the 20th century. He is highly honored due to his stand against imperialism and his constant struggle for liberation, and greatly hated due to his militant ways and his anti-capitalistic ways. His ideas and praise of Guerrilla warfare and adventurism also gain him praise. The man was captured and executed in Bolivia by CIA trained Bolivian Green Berets in the late 60's, after a failed revolution attempt (Due to Bolivia's Pro-Soviet leader). Though the execution was kept quiet to keep the people from looking at the revolutionary as a martyr, they did anyway. His face and influence is now greater than ever; covering land had helped to free including the Congo, Cuba, and South America and even in the land of his enemies (USA). Due to propaganda and false accusations, some believe Che was a Hitler-esque belligerent terrorist, however the man known for his caring ways towards the captured enemy and his hate for terrorism could not have been more different. Like all, Ernesto Guevara had his faults, but is in no way similar to the way many make him out to be; for he was no Christ, nor the opposite, just a man who stood for something.

That boy is a radical Che Guevara adventurist-leftist

3. (Che Guevara) (1078↑, 586↓)
Ernesto "Che" Guevara commonly known as Che Guevara, El Che, or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, politician, author, intellectual, guerrilla leader, military theorist, and a major figure of the Cuban Revolution. Since his death, his stylized visage has become a ubiquitous countercultural symbol and global insignia within popular culture. As a young medical student, Guevara traveled throughout Latin America and was transformed by the poverty he witnessed. His experiences and observations during these trips led him to conclude that the region's ingrained economic inequalities were an intrinsic result of monopoly capitalism, neocolonialism, and imperialism, with the only remedy being world revolution. After fighting alongside Fidel Castro in the Cuban Revolution, Che fought in the Congo Crisis of 1965 and in Bolivia. Some of the books written by Che include Guerrilla Warfare, The Motorcycle Diaries, and Episodes of the Cuban Revolutionary War.

Che Guevara was one of the most influential people of the 20th century.

Most of the definitions focus on the saint he was definitely not. We owe a fuller picture of Che's personality and life to the readers of Urban Dictionary. One genuine accomplishment in Che Guevara's life: the mass-murder of defenseless men and boys. At everything else Che Guevara failed abysmally, even comically. Upon arriving in Havana on January of 1959 after an utterly bogus guerrilla war, Che Guevara immediately recognized the moat around Havana's La Cabana fortress as a handy-dandy execution pit. Hitler's SS had to dig them. Here Che Guevara had one ready made. His favorite tool in the struggle for free education and health care was a shot to the back of the victim’s head. According to the authoritative "Black Book of Communism," Castro and Che’s firing squads riddled 14,000 bound and gagged freedom-fighters. Many (perhaps most) of their murder victims were boys in their late-teens and early 20s. Some were even younger. Carlos Machado and his twin brother Ramon were 15 when they spat in the face of their communist executioners and died singing their national anthem as lustily as they cursed Che Guevara's Internationale. A bona fide coward, Guevara died whipering "Don't Shoot\! I'm Che\! I'm worth to you more alive than dead\!" This sniveling shout was heard by the two Bolivian soldiers when they confronted Che and his guerrilla charge Willi. Che immediately dropped his fully loaded weapons and started his whimpering. The biggest hero of assholes. Loved by many. None were loved by him. A coward whose last sentence was "Don't shoot, I'm worth more to you alive than dead." Led to hundreds of thousands of innocent Cuban deaths, and 74,000 deaths at sea by those trying to escape to freedom. However he is the reason I am in this wonderful country today instead of in Cuba. Atleast in this country the people who love him so much can bad talk our government, while if they had lived in Cuba they would not have survived that. Also a raging psychopath.

I wonder why rockers love Che Guevara so much if they had lived in his Cuba, they would have been thrown into prison camps and tortured.

6. (Che Guevara) (477↑, 136↓)
Che Guevara was a communist revolutionary who helped castro enslave cuba. he is hailed as a genius of guerilla warfare even though most of his campaigns were failures. he killed many innocent people for refusing to be slaves of communism, but many rich, white, starbucks sipping, psuedo-intellectual college kids who've never left the states, much less seen the third world think still think he was a hero. He got waxed by bolivian soldiers trained by American SF. even if he started with good intent, he was misguided and thought he could force people to live in harmony, which is one of the many follies of communism.

guilt ridden rich white kid- Che Guevara was a hero who turned cuba into a socialist utopia and cubans love him more than Jesus regular guy- yeah, they love it so much they risk life on the high seas in banana boats to get the hell away from it. go to miami and tell a cuban who is old enought to remamber him that he was a hero and watch him eat your face

This cat fought for the "liberation" of Cuba from tyrants while in fact he helped put in place an even bigger tyrant by the name of Fidel "no more toilet paper for our shitty island" Castro. This "freedom fighter" is 40 percent to blame for the slaughter of innoncent industrialists who sought to make the best of the island's natural resources and keep the savages at bay. I bet his beard is a hit in Hell where he is burning for eternity with all Amway salespeople and Johnny Carson.

If Charlton Heston had sex with one of the monkeys on "Planet of the Apes" his offspring would have looked like Che Guevara.

AKA, the Spanish Hitler. Murdered many families, including children in order to push his politicals views on others. Many mis-informed college students don't read about this, and decide to wear his T-Shirts.

That Che Guevara is a real son-of-a-bitch. He killed my grandparents.

A rather naive Marxist mass-murderer, who carried out Revolutionary "Justice" in Cuba, normally with a pistol to the temple. Drove Cuba's economy into the ground as its head by having a system where supply and demand did not dictate price, but the "social worth" of the item in question. Relished the idea of a global nuclear war between Socialism and Imperialism/Capitalism, and firmly believed that "The People" would be grateful for such a conflict. After falling out of favour in Cuba, he tried to sell himself as a wandering revolutionary in South America, so determined to "help the people" that he wasn't bothered with trifling little details about who they were and what they wanted (he tried to sell a [communist] revolution to Bolivian natives, who owned their own land and were perfectly happy and therefore told him to sod off). Ended up getting topped in Bolivia by CIA trained soldiers.

Che Guevara is idolised by all kinds of naive students and marxists who are more interested in the myths about the man than what he actually did

13. (Che Guevara) (214↑, 24↓)
Argentine Communist revolutionary who fought alongside Fidel Castro in Cuba's Revolution to overthrow Fulgencio Batista. Although Che's rhetoric is popular among those who oppose imperialism, the United States in general, and capitalism as an economic system, Che also murdered over a thousand Cubans in his short stint as leader of the Cabana prison in Cuba without due process. Supported persecutions of individuals who did not agree with a radical ideology.

"The image of Che Guevara hurts Cubans because of it reminds them of the innocent men and women that Che ordered to be killed in "La Cabana" prison

A man whose picture appears on red T-shirts at [Hot Topic] for around $15-20 bucks. You can also buy iron-on patches and label buttons with Che's face on them for about $1 buck each. What better way to display your [fad]-driven support of Communism by buying merchandise supplied by large corporations? Who cares if your supporting the "machine", he looks so badass on those T-shirts. You're sure to impress all your punk/stoner friends and maybe attract that cute alternachick that sits in front of you in your art class if ol' Che is with you.

I'm sure that this is exactly what Che would want: his image used by corporations to sell merchandise to naive teenage "rebels". Corporations know that most so-called "[Communist]s" and "[Anarchist]s" are just glorified [pothead]s that can be just as easily manipulated as an Abercrombie shopper. It doesn't matter who he was, or what he did, not any more. What matters is that he re-awakened the idea of a Romantic hero. He inspired the imaginations of millions, and offered hope to anyone who ever believed in something. He represents passion vs rationality, because he gave his very life for what was in his heart. It doesn't matter if he was a failure, or even a bad man, because he represents the human soul in a way unlike anyone else of the 20th century.

Hasta la Victoria Siempre\!

A fanatical [Argentine] [communist] who joined up with [Fidel Castro] and became one of the leaders of the [Cuban Revolution]. Was responsible for the deaths of [political prisoners]. He was too extreme even for [Fidel], so he left Cuba and travelled around the world to foment global revolution (unsuccessfully]. His assassination in [Bolivia] turned him into a martyr, and his picture was widely reproduced on magazine covers, posters, and T-shirts. It didn't hurt that he was one of the few "[hot]" communist leaders, making him the [James Dean] of [Communism]. Today his picture is worn on T-shirts mostly by wealthy American teenagers from extremely privileged backgrounds, ironically the same class he would love to have destroyed, mainly because he was a very good looking man who is vaguely considered a symbol of rebellion.

Very few of the kids who wear Che Guevara T-shirts have the slightest idea about Che's actual political beliefs.

17. (Che Guevara) (187↑, 31↓)
A communist who was inept and had no formal medical training. When the nuclear ICBM's were in place in Cuba he wanted to blow up NY. Castro used Ernesto "Che" Guevara for his families money to pay off the Army of Batista. The "revolution" was one of the calmest ones in history. He raped, murdered, squandered the Cubans lives and money. He thought and believed that musicians, actors, capitalists were useless and evil. He managed to ruin the 5 Billion dollar (USD) surplus that Batista and his evil capitalist friends had made while he was in power. Batista was using the rich Americans as a cash cow through tourism and gambling. Guevara was a horrible leader during his attempted coups in other countries. He failed in life and as proof he died saying I am worth more to you alive than dead.

[communist] [rapist] [coward] [failure] [Che Guevara]

18. (Che Guevara) (467↑, 323↓)
A communist douche bag who hated money (literally), executed prisoners of war, and only succeeded in one battle where his opponents actually surrendered. He ran a notorious political prison and murdered many innocent people. He then traveled to the Congo where he fostered more violence. Upon his return to South America, he was murdered by the Bolivian army in much the same way he murdered political prisoners.

Young college douchebag - "Che Guevara was hero\!" Someone with half a brain - "I didn't know heroes ran political prisons and executed men who already surrendered."

19. (Che Guevara) (424↑, 290↓)
Secondary leader of the brutal Marxist revolution along side with Fidel Castro in Cuba, Che is also known for being a Marxist revolutionary throughout Latin America. Che is even made into a key character in the musical "Evita" about Argentinian politics and corruption. Sharing the same opinion as Castro, Che wished to spread communism throughout South America. Che justified the killings of capitalists and other innocent human beings as part of Karl Marx's "dialectic process" of progression into utopian Marxism. Ultimately, Che was a key factor in the destabilization of Latin American governments, and is one of the quintessential causes of prolonged Latin American poverty and widespread death. Che Guevara and Fidel Castro stand on the podium alongside other mass murderers and subversionists in history as evil human beings responsible for destroying the potentials of once great nations.

Ernesto "Che" Guevara was an Argentine Marxist Revolutionary, physician, author, guerilla warfare leader, diplomat, military theorist, and a major figure during the Cuban Revolution. Today he has become an icon among popular culture and is worn on many t-shirts. 3/4 of those who wear his shirt do not even know much about Che. Che was simply a product of his environment and after travelling all over South America with his friend Alberto Granado, he was very disturbed by the poverty, sickness, and injustices he witnessed. These travels of his are written down in "The Motorcycle Diaries." He believed that these problems in South America existed because of monopoly capitalism, imperialism, and neocolonialism. In addition, he believed that the most sufficient solution to these problems was a world revolution. Guevara became even more radical in his beliefs after witnessing the coup d'état of Guatemala's government which was carried out by the United States government and CIA. Guatemala’s government was then replaced by a military junta, headed by Colonel Carlos Castillo. Che later met Raul and Fidel Castro while in Mexico City and decided to join their revolutionary group - the 26th of July Movement (named after the day of Fidel's failed attack on the Moncada barracks). They then boarded an old beat up yacht appropriately named the “Granma” and headed to Cuba to begin their revolution in an attempt to overthrow the U.S. backed dictator Fulgencio Batista.

Upon their arrival, Batista’s army takes out 2/3 of the 82 rebels and only about 12 witness their victory over Batista’s governenment after Batista flees Cuba. In January 1959, rebels led by Che Guevara captured La Cabaña and used it as a headquarters and as a military prison for several months while leading the Cuban revolution. During his five-month tenure in that post, Guevara oversaw the revolutionary tribunals and executions of suspected war criminals, traitors, chivatos (informants), and former members of Batista's secret police. Che acquired the additional position of Finance Minister as President of the National Bank, which along with Minister of Industries, placed him at the zenith of his power, as the "virtual czar" of the Cuban economy. After their victory in Cuba, Che made trips to China, the Soviet Union, and also helped rebels during the Congo Crisis. When he began his revolutionary campaign in Bolivia, no one was sure about whether he was alive or not. Ultimately, Che was discovered and captured by Bolivian forces. His finals words to his executioner were, “I know you are here to kill me. Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man.” As he was getting shot, he bit into his wrist to prevent himself from crying out. His body was then buried in an unmarked grave. His hands were cut off and sent to Fidel Castro with a picture of his corpse as proof of his death. In 1997 his remains were discovered and buried in Cuba.

The Osama Bin Laden of the Cold War: - Born into a rich family in a country economically colonized by the West. - Disillusioned with the system that made his family - and consequently him, - wealthy; for somewhat legitimate reasons. - Ostracized by his family for his opposition to this system. - Turned to a mind-numbing and violent ideology of radical opposition to the system in place, popular with many others at the time due to legitimate flaws and a lack of opportunities for civil opposition, but far more flawed in its own nature. - Funded by institutionalized proponents of the radical opposition ideology to "spread it," although not always entirely in-line with their specific principles. - Ran around in the backwoods of desolate countries with poor and uneducated populations, trying to motivate them to join his cause and oppose the system; and mostly succeeding only in de-stabilizing said countries as the people there were wary of both. - Eventually killed by the military of one such country who were tipped off by the local population that was annoyed with him running around in their backyards. (This has not YET happened to Bin Laden, unfortunately.)

Next time you see someone wearing a "Che Guevara" shirt, imagine how you'd feel in 30 years if someone wore an "Osama Bin Laden" shirt.

One of the most influentional revolutionaries of the 20th century. Ernesto Guevara was born in Argentina. He had ancestors from Ireland. he suffered from mostly all his life. He loved rugby. The studied to b and doctor and soon got his medical degree. He was especially curious about the people who suffered from leprasy. In his early 20s he took a motorcycle ride throughout most of the countires in south america. He saw many of the textiles and beautiful natural resourse his latino countries had, but wondered how they were being robbed of what they could really produce. He then meet a young peruvian woman who then they studied Marx and lenin and many other socialist reformists. He got married then had 5 kids. He then fled to mexico city where most political exiles fled to during that time. There he meet castro who wanted to over throw the bautista dictatorship in cuba. The regime was secretly benifitin the U.S. government and the cuban hated bautista. Che went with castro to cuba. After fighting for about 5 years and Guevara moving up in rankings the revolution was won in 1959. Che momtivated the people to stop the imperialism in there country and then they started to stop all the bussinesses owned by the U.S. ( gas stations, fast food, clothing stores) They kept it for the people which s what socialism is. The U.S. then got pissed and formed a blockade not sending any imports since then. Geuvara didn't giva a fuck. He didn't want cuba just to produce sugar canes. So he started to agricult many new crops not used before in that land. A few years later he felt like he needed to keep doing his revolutions around the world to stop the yankeee imperialism. In 1965 he left for the zaire or the congo. There he tried to start a revolution againt mostly beglium controlled terrortry. He wasn't succesful. He felt the soliders were badly trained and in need of much discipline. He then left and went back to cuba for awhile. He asked castro for some soliders to fight in south america. He then went to bolivia which is surrounded by 5 other countries and would be good to start a revolution.when he got there to the jungle not much of what Castro had promised to send was there. also some russian help wasn't there. The bolivian cummunist fighters were to fuckin pussy and didn't come to help guevara when they said they would. Always debated Castro some what desserted guevara because he was gettin to popular or because castro only cared about cuba. Later in the fight much undernumbered and many of his soliders to week and distro about his recent mother's death and faliure in the congo Guevara was captured. He was then held hostage in a remote young run down school by a solider. They then gave to the order to shot him because the bolivians which were trained by the fuckin U.S. Green baretts who fought in the korean and vietnam war ( becuse such a revolution wouldn't benifit the U.S. from conrtolling those south american countries) killed him because they didn't want any prisoners. His body was then put on display but his message is lived out through out the world.

the imperialism is whats keepin the south americans countires under developed and 3rd world had che guevara lived bush wouldnt be here

[Communist] Revolutionary that sadly was born on the wrong planet. [Communism] will never work with Human beings because we are competitive and greedy by nature. We cannot work as ants do in a hive (Even though they have a queen, they are pure communist, just watch a colony one day and you'll see) for the pure benefit of all man, if we don't have some kind of immediate benefit (money, fame, etc) nothing will get done. The only reason most countries have stayed communist is because of their very opressive military prescence on their streets. Capitalism is, unfortunately, the way of Humans and monarchy is also very popular. People WANT to be told what to do by someone smarter than them, they want to buy stuff, they want to worship paper and metal, thats how it is.

As a follower of Marx, Che Guevara knew that the working class will always use whatever is relevant to its time and condition in its struggle against capitalists. T-shirts are the new literature, a new pamphlet, a way to convey solidarity and a way to educate and inform. Don't be misled by ill-informed people who suggest Che or any other past Marxist would "kill you" or be offended by their images on a shirt or any other object. Do try to honor Che's memory by buying a shirt through a poster or t-shirt collective.

Many definitions given abaout El Che have stated that his last words were:"Don't Shoot\! I'm Che\! I'm worth to you more alive than dead\!" this, honestly, is a lie. CIA-trained Bolivian Sergeant Bernardino Huanca said to ches biographer el che "said" that after he had benn wounded, TWICE, and his rifle had been rendered useless. and ,even if this happend to be true, those were not his last words. Ernesto "Che" Guevara's true last words were: "I know you've come to kill me. Shoot, coward\! You are only going to kill a man\!" to all who call him a coward, no coward would have left the life he had to fight 3 revolutions. to all who call him a failure, the french philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre called him "the most complete man of the century" to all who call him a genocidal racist, el che said to the USA policy towars blacks:"Those who kill their own children and discriminate daily against them because of the color of their skin; those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, protecting them, and furthermore punishing the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men — how can those who do this consider themselves guardians of freedom?" besides, he fought a revolution in CUBA and in EL CONGO ,has it ever ocurred to you that most there arent precisly pearl white?
